DAY 1 – Sacramento Environmental Health and Nursing Conference

June 2, 2026 is Day 1 of our two-day event which includes a conference and a lobby day in Sacramento. You’re welcome to attend either day or both. We encourage you to join us for both days if you’re able, as they are designed to build on one another. On Day 1, you will learn about the key issues we’ll be advocating for. Then, on Day 2 (June 3) we will walk through how to lobby before heading into meetings at the Capitol.

The Sacramento Environmental Health and Nursing Conference will take place on Tuesday, June 2 from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM at Sacramento State. We will discuss how climate change impacts children’s health through sessions on water, heat and farmworker safety, sustainable healthcare, disaster preparedness, and air quality. The day will include a mix of presentations, discussion, and opportunities to connect with experts working in environmental health. Participants can earn 5 FREE nursing continuing education credits while learning alongside nurses, health professionals, and advocates.

California Nurses for Environmental Health and Justice invites nurses, health professionals, and advocates to join our Sacramento Lobby Day at the California State Capitol, Wednesday, June 3rd at 9:00AM. This in-person event provides an opportunity to engage and advocate to support healthy people and healthy environments. Participants will receive training on policy and have the opportunity to join meetings at the Capitol. Lobby Day is designed to strengthen collective advocacy efforts, elevate the voice of nurses in environmental health, and build connections. Whether you are new to advocacy or have prior experience, this event offers a supportive space to learn and engage. Participants will also earn 2 FREE CE credits!!
