Plastics
This content examines how plastics—through their production, use, and breakdown—impact human health and the environment, and highlights nurses’ roles and responsibilities in addressing these emerging concerns. Participants will gain essential knowledge about the health effects of plastic exposure, from microplastics in food and water to chemicals released during manufacturing and waste disposal. These sessions will also explore the latest science on reducing human exposure, the connection between consumer practices and environmental pollution, and strategies for identifying and mitigating plastic-related risks in healthcare and community settings.
